Why do I label myself as an Interior Decorator rather than Interior Designer? Aren’t they the same thing?

Interior Designers are licensed professionals who have the knowledge of building and safety codes and coordinate projects that may involve architecture and construction. Interior Decorators make aesthetic improvements just as an Interior Designer would; but they do not make structural changes to interior spaces (For example, removing a wall in an existing home).
