We have been working on some electrical in the basement here at #themilgromproject
Today I spied with my little eye a cute girl enjoying her new light in the reading nook!
We hope to be working on more of the house soon so that we can show you more updates!!! Make today a great one!
Wow! Where did August and September go???? 🙈 I have been one busy woman- but I have been also staying busy with Ooh Lah Lah Designs as well!! Like finishing the master bathroom! And here is a throw back to when we had an orange bathroom on day 1 of moving in 😉
Last time we saw the master bathroom, everything was done except for the floor tile.
THIS is what it looked like during demo. That tile was CRAZY thick and man was it messy!!! We are thankful for the help during demo as well as the advice for laying the new tile down!! Although- I believe this is the second time I have run out of either tile or grout right at the end 🙈 So my quick tip: ALWAYS BUY EXTRA PEOPLE!! 👌🏻👍🏻😉
oh.. and we also painted over the last bit of orange paint that was behind the toilet area
Just finished 😅 Have I mentioned before that I hate painting closets?! Well.. I hate painting closets. It was brown until today👀 One more down- one more to go: The master closet 🙈 wish me luck!! Never did I think a year into this house renovation, I would still be painting over original colored walls.. 😂😂😂😂🙌🏻
Join me in my new blog series: THE MILGROM PROJECT! Come take a look at my crazy home remodel! Stay tuned as we go into each room so far! We aren’t done with the spaces yet, but I couldn’t wait any longer to show you the progress!! There will be plenty of BEFORE and DURING pictures! I.CAN’T.WAIT. EEEEK!!!
This is what the kitchen looked like the day we got the keys. I wasn’t a fan of the paint color, and the cabinets were decent but I did not like the hardware. And the hubs and I know that in the near future we will be redoing the floor, since the carpet goes basically all the way to the kitchen island.. Boy did we had a lot of work ahead of us! Take a look!
Alright folks!! Let’s get to it! Here is the day we got the keys! This was in the beginning of September.
On to the master bedroom!!
This brown wall was textured, as if it was painted and then had sand thrown on top of it. I didn’t want to take the time to sand the whole wall down, so instead I decided to cover it up! (Because I am lazy like that!) I went to Lowes and got me some click-in plank wood. (This was our first wall we did the plank wood!) We were a little nervous, but we went for it anyways! Here goes nothing!
When we were looking at this house before buying it, J-Man ran in and yelled, “THIS IS MY ROOM!” It had this painted mural on the wall. Although it was really cool, I wanted the walls to be neutral like the rest of the house.
Out of all the paint colors in the house, I liked this one the best! I had thoughts about maybe keeping the color, but decided to paint it the same color as the rest of the house.
