Organizing Tip: Labeled Containers for TOYS

So I have had a lot of people ask me how to organize toys… and I have a few different things I do- but the one I am going to talk about today is …….drum roll please……. LABELED CONTAINERS!Β πŸ™ŒπŸ»Β πŸ˜‰πŸ‘πŸ»

No automatic alt text available.

These plastic containers shown are super cheap at Walmart or even Home Depot. Grab some sticker labels from the dollar bins and marker and you are all set!! Some of the colored bins work great too!! (Also in the picture below)

If your kids can’t read yet, label them with pictures instead (print some off your computer from clip art and tape them on or get creative!!Β πŸ™ŒπŸ»Β ) OR use color-coded bins! Red= cars, pink =baby dolls, etc… This helps eliminate all the random stuff you find in piles all over and gives all those little things a “home” in your house. Plus, it actually eliminates mess, because they are entertained with one box at a time! My kids normally pull out one or two boxes to play with, and then put them away before grabbing out different bins/boxes! My kids can still be kids, and I can have an organized home!! Yay!Β

Worried about the kiddies not wanting to put away the items in the correct boxes? Make it fun! Time them! Make it a race between their siblings!!

Clean-up and organizing can be fun!

And BONUS you are instilling in them some great learning skills for their future (as well as gaining your sanityΒ πŸ˜‰) it is a win-win for everyone!
