YAY! I have been SO EXCITED to show you this room!!!!

This is the first room you see when you walk into my house. It is more of the “formal front room” where only I really sit and relax. Out of any room, this one has been the one that I have been having the most fun with/struggled the most with because it took me so long to finish. Let’s take a look!

Okay, so here is a little secret on “how” I decorate. First, I see an image online or on the TV (HGTV for example!) and I take a snap shot of it. It is the style or vibe that I was going for in this room. As you can see I googled “colorful living room design” to get these pictures. I may or may not pause my TV and take a snap shot of the television for an image as well.

Next, I take pictures of stuff I want in the room that I already have, and stuff from stores online I would like to have. I try to go as close to it as I can, or at least try to stick to the same feel while I am out shopping. It makes it easy to have this on your phone, because while I am out shopping or garage saling, I can click to this picture to see if what I am looking at will go with what I want in the room. As you can see, I didn’t stick to it 100% (mostly because they didn’t sell these items anymore by the time I came around to being able to buy the stuff!) But I got close. I made this collage on my phone so it is one picture.

And here is the final result. I was planning on putting the black standing floor lamp in the other corner where the clock is, but I found that clock 50% off and HAD.TO.HAVE.IT.

Isn’t this clock BEAUTIFUL?

The silver vase I painted as well. here is the before and after-

And here is another before and after- my mirror~

What a difference, huh?

This coffee table was my green coffee table I had before in the old house. She is still just as beautiful!!

 The pillows are from target/IKEA.

Another before and after:

My hubby gave me this cute sign for our anniversary so I knew I needed to hang it somewhere where everyone can see it 🙂 It is a “love lock” that cant be opened because it doesn’t have a key.

How romantic…

That is the front room!!! hope you like it as much as I do!

P.s. it didn’t look like this in a day- in fact my front room looked like THIS for 4 MONTHS before gathering everything I needed for the room 🙂
